I could tell you that Sicily is a land of myth, rich in history and culture, I could tell you about the magnificence of its Greek temples, and detail its geographical location and an ideal climate. I could tempt you and tell you about the taste of the beauty that in Sicily tastes fresh, natural granita or, if you prefer savoury flavours, crispy “arancine” and “panelle.”
I could tell you that Sicily is a place where no one suffers from loneliness because people are friendly and always have a smile for you. And all these reasons would not be enough to explain why an Erasmus experience in Palermo differs from an experience in Milan or Florence. What makes Sicily and its cities unique is the sea, which sets a slow and relaxed pace of life, encourages tourism and the fishing industry.
Being an Erasmus student in Sicily, whether in Palermo or in other seaside towns, is an immersive experience that changes you inside. Sicily gives you the thrill of discovery and the thrill of astonishment: it cannot be explained, you have to live it!
It is said that Italian is the most beautiful language in the world. If your staff or students would like to discover Sicily and its seaside towns and, at the same time, train, work and learn Italian, there is no better way than to have a life, study or work experience abroad with Erasmus.
In fact, I can design and prepare training, language and cultural programmes in Italy for foreign schools and companies, according to different needs, co-financed with Erasmus+ or other European programmes.
If your school, institution or organisation based abroad has received European funding under Erasmus+, I can help you organise and manage your project in Italy, in Sicily, from start to finish. With my Europabüro I help you in this case as a European mobility agency and project intermediary. I mainly take care of the bureaucracy and assist with the necessary documentation for your school or organisation, such as learning agreements and certifications.
Have you a problem? Don’t worry! I am a lawyer and know how the Italian bureaucracy works to resolve practical and legal issues
Legislation on internships or company placements in Italy has undergone various reforms and modifications: depending on the type of internship, the fulfilments and obligations, on the part of both the companies and the trainee, are different (notification to the Employment Centre and to the Labour Inspectorate, the opening of social security and safety positions, payment of allowances, etc.). In addition, many students engaged in company traineeships and work-school alternation are exploited or demoted, or suffer injuries because they have inadequate training programmes and are in unsafe workplaces. If necessary, I will talk to the public administration, the accountant or the labour consultant of the hosting company.
That is why it is best to work with a professional like me: I will not leave you alone in the jungle of Italian law! With my assistance, young people are guaranteed training, safety and legality, while companies avoid the risk of administrative and criminal sanctions.
I organise mobility for teaching staff and European staff of organisations working in the education, training and youth sector: structured courses, job shadowing and internships. Since I am a training designer, I can design customised training programmes for my clients.
I participate in the ERASMUS+ KA2 European partnership programmes which aim to foster innovation and the exchange of know-how associated with education and training. I can help you write the project or be your partner in the implementation of activities.
To live an unforgettable work and study experience in Sicily, both in cities and small seaside towns, improve your Italian and your professional and personal skills, the ideal is to do an Erasmus+ internship in a company (KA1 Mobility). I offer you my advice and assistance in finding the best accommodation solution (accommodation), finding the internship, tutoring and administrative and bureaucratic support, carrying out assessments and at the end of the internship, issuing certificates.
My name is Valentina Cassarà, I am a consultant specialising in European projects and learning design. Europabüro is the international mobility agency I founded in 2020 when I was living in Berlin, after many years of experience in European projects. Today Europabüro also has an office in Italy, in Sicily, near Palermo, where I have returned to live fast by the sea!
I turn your ideas into concrete projects, so that they become memorable mobility and cooperation experiences. I help companies, schools, VET training organisations and associations to implement Erasmus+ training project activities in Italy, Sicily. I implement complete KA2 cooperation projects, KA1 learning mobility projects including traineeships, structured courses for staff, language stays and much more to dream up, according to the needs and wishes of my clients and partners.
I love working with young people and training. I specialise in ERASMUS+ youth programmes such as DISCOVEREU, YOUTH EXCHANGES and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) i.e. the new European Voluntary Service (EVS). For artists and young entrepreneurs, I do 1:1 consultancies on the i-Portunus and E.Y.E. programmes.
I believe in networking and human relationship are at the centre of my work. Before being a lawyer and a consultant, I was an Erasmus student myself and participated in various Europe initiatives. So, I understand you!
I know how complicated it can be to find accommodation, fill out forms, to make friends. That is why I like to make people feel at home when they arrive here in Sicily, in Palermo as in Balestrate or Trapani, with a European project. I accompany them to see the accommodations, I make sure all the documents are in order, I show them the truest Sicily, and I help them integrate into the social fabric of the city.
Entrusting yourself to me and to Europabüro means choosing a real person, who understands you and is ready to listen to you, to find together the best possible solution to needs and problems.
